Bye bye Solena! |
I'm also linking up again with What Are You Reading at The Book Date: Historical fiction at the moment because I am reading Of Faith And Fidelity by Evan Ostryzniuk. Next up I think will be Frankenstein retelling Desirable Body by Hubert Haddad.
Sad non-bookish news this week because we have sold our Raclet Solena trailer tent. The photo is from our last holiday in it in July. Much as we loved camping in Solena, Dave found its putting up strained his bad shoulder and he feels perhaps he is getting too old for tent camping. We do, of course, have an exciting replacement on the way which we're picking up on Thursday. If you're a Facebook friend, you might already have guessed what it is. If not, more news next week!
A blogging milestone on Wednesday: We Only Saw Happiness was the 800th book I've featured on Literary Flits! 800 books on 800 consecutive days! There's a giveaway to win my copy of this book too so click through and help celebrate this 'historic moment', lol.
Giveaways closing soon:
13/08: ebook of Three by K J McGillick
16/08: ebook of Letter To Country by Rethabile Masilo
18/08: PBs of The Collision Of Grief And Gratitude by Rosanne Liesveld

Aww sorry to hear about the trailer tent, but sounds like you have a good replacement on the way! And I've never read The Secret garden, oddly enough! I'd like to see your review of that!
ReplyDeleteThanks you for linking my post! I appreciate it!!
Hope your weekend is awesome. :)
Cheers Greg!
DeleteHope the tent replacement brings lots of good times. Happy anniversary! I love live theater... it's such a unique experience.
ReplyDeleteThank you Tanya :-)
DeleteSorry about the tent. I am sure you mean your are RVing now? How exciting!! I will have to check out your facebook to see! Have a great week of reading!
ReplyDeleteMary Sunday Roundup #31!
We are indeed!
DeleteSorry about the tent, but good luck with the replacement. Happy Anniversary! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Yvonne :-)
DeleteA new replacement tent is always good.
ReplyDeleteAnd we're massively upgrading :-:
DeleteIt's been a while since I took part in Bout of Books! Linking to Brittani's post was an excellent reminder. :)
ReplyDeleteHope your camping replacement is awesome and allows you to continue your adventures.
Glad I could jog your memory :-)
DeleteI hope the replacement is wonderful. I’ll sleep in a tent if I have to, but I love my tent-trailer. It’s more comfortable and doesn’t collapse in windstorms like the tent did. Congrats on the blogging milestone. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
Yes, our trailer tent was reassuringly sturdy with a proper comfy bed. Oh well!
DeletePicking up our RV tomorrow afternoon :-)
Sometimes putting one part of our lives behind us does open up new possibilities. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog.
Fingers crossed it does for us too :-)
DeleteI am not a camper. My idea of roughing it is a hotel without high speed internet. I hope you enjoy your replacement. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteLol, even my apartment doesn't have high speed internet!
DeleteThat's sad about your camper, but a happy 15th anniversary to you! I love love love The Secret Garden, and I'll have to check out the other books listed there!
ReplyDeleteMy post is here. Have a great week!
Hope you find a few others to love :-)
DeleteI did a bunch of camping as a kid but until recently we haven't had any place to keep camping equipment. We go to hotels and motels instead. My weekly update
ReplyDeleteWe've got too used to caravanning comforts so the trailer tent sometimes felt just too much like roughing it!
DeleteWell sometimes tenting just doesn't work anymore, hope you are getting something exciting like a fifth wheeler or a caravan. My sister has one and it is terrific.
ReplyDeleteWe are :-)
DeleteHappy Anniversary. Sometimes you gotta upgrade! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThank you :-)
DeleteI've never gone camping in my life and unlikely to do so either. It must be hard to not only put it up but yo take it down. Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteSometimes putting the tent away is harder than setting it up!
