November Challenges Wrap-Up: Bookish Bingo and Goodreads

This challenge wrap-up post includes my new month of Bookish Bingo which is hosted each month at Chapter Break.
I also completed my 2018 Goodreads Challenge on the 18th of this month! I set my target at 180 books which I only just managed to achieve last year. This year I might well get over 200!

Stephanie Jane (Literary Flits) has completed her goal of reading 180 books in 2018!

For Bookish Bingo I'm including books I read during November, but I might not have blogged all their reviews yet so if the cover image doesn't go anywhere when you click it, that's why!

I'm going to do December's Bookish Bingo too and here's the new grid to match up:

I'm starting to sign up for New 2019 Challenges as well.
If you're hosting any you think I'd enjoy, make sure to pop their links in the Comments please :-)

So far, I am signed up to:

2019 Review Writing Challenge at Delighted Reader.
Shari's target is 75 reviews which sounds attainable. For me, like this year, I'm going to try to review every book I read.

2019 New Release Challenge at Unconventional Bookworms.
The idea is to read as many 2019-published books as possible within the year 2019. I'm aiming for the New Release Pro level which is 31-60 books.

What 2019 challenges are you looking forward to?

  1. I haven't looked at challenges set by other people for next year as they generally have too many rules! I usually just make up my own challenges. I'll be joining Barb's Puppy Love in February and if I see a fun sounding challe nge at any part of the year I might join in with it if time allows! I might even do that blogging A-Z challenge that I keep missing if I remember when it's starting and have time to plan!

    1. I'm going to be restarting my A-Z Challenge on the 1st January if you'd like to join me then?

  2. Oh wow you are so on top of the game, Stephanie! Congratulations on meeting your Goodreads goal! I'm currently at like 60/100 which is kind of dismal. I always do well until about the middle of June. Best of luck with your challenges for next year! That's so cool that you're able to stick to reading certain books for the challenges - I need your skills!

    1. Aha, but I've learned (the hard way) how to pick challenges that fit my reading rather than trying to cope the other way around ;-)

  3. Already signing up? Maybe I should too but next year I should be more organized - I really like how well you present your challenges and track them.

    1. I'm a natural list maker, I guess! I love the kind of treasure hunt challenges such as a book for each alphabet letter and the Bookish Bingo is fun inasmuch I can find obscure links to the subjects!

  4. Congrats on reaching your goodreads goal! I really should think about signing up for a few challenges next year. The only reason that I don't is I am not great at keeping track of a lot of things.

    1. I have to be careful not to sign up to too many specifically themed ones. I prefer ones where my books might count across more than one challenge.

  5. Great reading and awesome on the 21 squares filled!

  6. Congratulations on meeting your reading goal. Bookish Bingo looks like it would be a fun challenge. Stephanie what is your A-Z Challenge?

    1. The A-Z challenge is also called Alphabet Soup. It's to read 26 books, each starting with a different letter of the alphabet, within the year. I just completed my 2018 challenge: https://stephjb.blogspot.com/2018/12/i-complete-my-2018-alphabet-soup.html
