State Of The ARC - January 2020

I saw this State of the ARC meme over at Avalinah's Books blog in January 2018 and thought it would be fun to join in. It's temporarily being hosted at All The Book Blog Names Are Taken.

The idea is to keep track of all the ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) books I've got awaiting reading and reviewing, and to make headway through the overdue pile. For my State of the ARC, I am including all books sent to me for review whether they are pre-publication copies (as ARCs should be) or simply review copies of books already available publicly. I don't include books that I have purchased myself, book exchange swaps, or free downloads.

In January I blogged my reviews of these ARCs:

Here's my State of the ARC numbers as of today:

RRB (Read, Reviewed and Blogged) essentially means those book reviews are completed and I'm just waiting for their scheduled blog post date.

No State Of The ARC would be complete without checking out the additions to my ARC stash: 13 new books this month, so only one more than I read. That's pretty good!

Here are January's new arrivals

  1. That is a lot still to read! I hope you can get them read and reviewed in time! I used to do a lot of review books from authors but deadlines were stressing me out so I had to stop!

    1. I'm a bit close to the wire with blog tour reviews at the moment, but several of the NetGalleys aren't due until April and May so less pressure there!

  2. That's a lot of books. I only took out 6 ARC's this month.

    1. I did get a bit carried away, didn't I!
Four already read now though so I think I can keep up

  3. I made a HUGE dent in my pile last year and barely take on new arc's but I want to reassess and make a new list this year just so I can see where I'm at again.

    Good luck!

  5. Thanks so much for getting back into State of the ARC with me! I like your presentation of the books much better than my boring old nonsense. I am making some changes for February - though I still can't figure the damn graphs out like Evelina is so good at, haha

    1. Evelina is just too damn smart!!
I do the html table for the numbers and, to be honest, Blogger does the picture layouts - I just tell it the URLs - but I do like how all the images look together
