Book Blogger Hop - Which fictional character would you like to be?

This week's question (5th to 11th April 2019) is:
If you could take the place of any fictional character, who would it be and why? (submitted by Charlotte @ InkBlottings)

This is a difficult question for me to answer!
I often imagine myself in the worlds about which I read and sometimes taking the place of a character, but it's a fleeting substitution and then I am on to reading my next book and swept into that world instead. There have been many books set in locations that I would have been very happy to live in, but as myself, not as one of the characters. I guess that means I am finally content as me!

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer from Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer's permission, Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the meme on February 15, 2013.

Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop's purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

  1. Yeah, I couldn't think of a single character I'd want to be... As you said, you're in one world as one character and then the book ends and you're a whole new one. That's the beauty of books!

  2. This is indeed a difficult question. I agree that there are books where I like to experience the character's world. But, I would want to experience as myself.

    1. I struggle to imagine worlds as anyone other than me - which is probably why I've not taken the plunge into being an author

  3. That's an interesting question and since I mainly read PNR, I wouldn't mind being in a shifter or vampire book. lol

  4. I'm fine being me, too, Stephanie, but like you I wouldn't mind living in one of the locations I've read about. :)
