It was while I was reading The Stars In The Night by Clare Rhoden last week that it occurred to me that, although I seem to read more World War Two novels, I must have read quite a few Great War novels by now as well. So I set about finding out. With the wonder that is Google searches I realised that I really do need to start using consistent word tags if I ever want to find anything on my blogs! Resorting to my usual scroll-down-post-title-list-and-remember-book method I found these five varied books, all very different yet all connected by the theme of The Great War.

Have you read any of these five novels? If so, what did you think of them?
Which other Great War novels can you recommend?
