State Of The ARC - September 2018

I saw this State of the ARC meme over at Avalinah's Books blog in January and thought it would be fun to join in.

The idea is to keep track of all the ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) books I've got awaiting reading and reviewing, and to make headway through the overdue pile. For my State of the ARC, I am including all books sent to me for review whether they are pre-publication copies (as ARCs should be) or simply review copies of books already available publicly. I don't include books that I have purchased myself, book exchange swaps, or free downloads.

In September I blogged my reviews of these ARCs:
(Click the cover images to visit their reviews)

We've got the excitement of a nine-spot Bingo game to play with our ARCs for the rest of this year too. Here's my completed topic grid:

ARC with your favourite colour cover
ARC of a debut book
Your oldest ARC
#ownvoices ARC
A nonfiction ARC
An overdue ARC
ARC with sensitive social issues
A fluffy and happy ARC
A new-to-me genre ARC

Here's my State of the ARC numbers as of today:

Awaiting Reading

Read / Reviewed / Blogged

From Authors

Blog Tours

From Publishers

RRB (Read, Reviewed and Blogged) essentially means those book reviews are completed and I'm just waiting for their scheduled blog post date.

I'm disappointed that I suddenly have far too many overdues! This month has seen lots of socialising and travelling about with life getting in the way of my valuable reading time! I kept up with all the blog tours I had committed to, but NetGalley took a hit. I'm still above the magic 80% though. Hopefully October will be calmer so I can catch up again?

No State Of The ARC would be complete without checking out the additions to my ARC stash. I've managed to be fairly restrained this month although I do also have a couple of pending requests that I am waiting to hear back about.

Here are September's new arrivals

If you want to join this State of the ARC meme check out This Page at Avalinah's Books.

My next State of the ARC will be blogged on the 29th October.

  1. It's a long time since I read an ARC! Good luck!

    1. I love my ARCs because I get to discover so many weird and wonderful books that way :-)

  2. I haven't read any of those. You got quite a few.

    1. Yes! I did manage to read more than I downloaded (for once!)

  3. Looks like you got a handful to keep you busy for the next month. Good luck :)
