My Week in Review to the 25th March

I am linking up again today with The Sunday Post hosted by Kimberly at The Caffeinated Reviewer.

Today is our last day for a while in our Chef Boutonne home and we're both so far really happy with both the static caravan and its location. We've just about sorted out everything that we inherited from its previous owners - so much stuff! I'm delighted with a pair of Magnum Boots and a thick long woollen cardigan, both of which fit me perfectly! There's a cute foldaway Dining Table Set too. I'd wanted one just like it for our Torquay flat, but could only find cheapy examples with uncomfortable chairs. This one is super nice.

Having said in last week's review that there was no snow here, we actually got a bit on Monday - not enough to settle, but enough with a gusty wind to make our afternoon walk bracing! We wouldn't have gone ourselves, but were hosting our first visitor - yes, already! - so went out on a quick 45 minute circuit up to and around a small lake at the nearby Chateau de Javarzay. I loved this wooden bench ...

Tomorrow we are on a ferry back to the UK - the timing of which is going to play havoc with our body clocks. Last night the time went forward one hour because it's Spring. Tomorrow we will go back an hour again as we cross from France to England! At the moment I am not really looking forward to being back in Torquay although it will probably be fine when we get there. I want to stay in France!

In the meantime, I am still doing well with both my March reading challenges: 3 more books for IndieAthon and 2 for Take Control of Your TBR Pile. You can see the books I've read for each by following those links.
I'm unexpectedly in the midst of a run of biographies and memoirs right now so you can expect at least two of their reviews appearing this week.

From around the blogosphere:
on Friday I made this Slow Cooker Bread And Butter Pudding  from a recipe at Skint Dad. It was nice warm straight from the oven and even tastier cold next day.
Today, as I am typing up this post, I have a loaf of Yummy Tummy's Cinnamon Raisin Bread baking away. Fingers crossed it tastes as good as it smells! I'm baking this in the new-to-us Combination Oven that I had initially been wary of using, but am liking more and more as I get the hang of it. It's a little smaller than a usual oven, I think, and is only 900w so quite economical to run. I love that it preheats really quickly and I set it to cook at a specific temperature for a predetermined time so there shouldn't be any danger of forgetting it's on and burning our food!

And here's what you might have missed on my other blogs this week. Click the images to visit the pages ... and don't forget to enter all the Giveaways!
